Nestled beneath the mighty redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains, SCMG is home to educational programming artfully designed to mentor future stewards and guardians of the environment. The forests, trails and meadows of our beautiful community that SCMG calls home, serve as the backdrop  to youth leadership  events, training opportunities, and community nature exploration. Additionally,  SCMG is paving a path for female leadership through its charter of Pack 673  and Troop 673, groups of young women within Scouts BSA. The pillars of conservation, community and collaboration unify our intentions for creating positive change and cultivating tomorrows leaders.

PHILOSOPHY

SCMG is passionate about providing hands-on youth development activities that foster an appreciation and understanding of the natural world through conservation and sustainable practices. Mindfulness and nature awareness are woven into our play-with-purpose programs. Created to offer instruction and practice for building resilience, self-regulation and team building to promote personal growth for each individual both singularly and within their community. We strive to motivate future generations to protect our natural resources, create sustainability and leave no trace as they learn, play and explore.
